The first International Human Resources Day was a great success! We were thrilled to see how many messages, pictures and posts reached us that day and it was wonderful to see how each various countries celebrated HR. All in all, 2019 was a great kick-off: here is a small selection of the events and activities undertaken.
GERMANY – German Association of People Management (DGFP)
In addition to the activities in the social media, the DGFP organized a Mini BarCamp as part of the International Human Resources Day 2019. Throughout the day, we have discussed with other HR enthusiasts current topics that are concerning the HR world. After an exciting and productive day full of exchange and cooperation, we concluded the day together with our guests at a small celebration with pizza & beer. We ordered buttons and a couple of very chic t-shirts from the official shop and certainly the selfie cards were a highlight for our guests, too.
ISRAEL – ISHR society
We celebrated the international HR day with a community gathering. Around 80 people came to the meet up that included interesting lectures and a special activity about the reasons to love HR. Around 100 organizations celebrated to HR international day. Some of them had a special activity about HR and its role, others invited workers for an open discussion or just had a fun event. 😊 The best part for us was hearing our members talking about their reasons to love HR. Here some of what they said:
CYPRUS – Cyprus Human Resource Management Association (CyHRMA)
The Cyprus Human Resource Management Association ran a series of initiatives to celebrate the 1st International HR Day. The celebrations were initiated by an announcement to all members of the Association concerning the IHRD and the reason of celebrating. At the same time, the members of the Association were encouraged to celebrate the day on their companies and sharing these on social media. Additionally, the CyHRMA has supported a half-day conference organised by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation on 15th for May 2019. The conference has hosted 150 participants, most of them coming from the HR profession.
MACEDONIA – Macedonian Human Resources Association
On May 20th 2019, The Macedonian Human Resources Association organized its 11th annual HR Conference and HR Expo, on the topic: “HR- The catalyst of transformation”. On this occasion, 250 HR managers from all around the country and beyond, gathered in one place to speak openly and share experiences about a very important topic – transformation, and the challenges it brings.
