Delegates from 23 countries gathered on 27th October 2017 in the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of France in Paris for the 28th EAPM Congress: “European HR New Landscapes”.
The Congress took place at a critical turning point in EU history with Brexit, a new Franco-German cooperation, the Rome Declaration reaffirming a social Europe, the challenges of digitalization or the launch of the European pillar of social rights. Europe, as a political landscape, poses enormous challenges and opportunities for HR!
In line with the political landscape in Europe, participants at the 28th EAPM Congress discussed in plenary sessions and workshops the most relevant EU and European matters for HR executives, such as mobility, diversity and inclusion, well-being at work, talent management or digitalization.
This report will focus on three themes, beginning with job quality and working life in Europe.
This was a unique congress which was organised in a wonderful location. The expert speakers were engaging and invited delegates to consider the wide range of challenges emerging as a result of new HR Landscapes in Europe. The programme was well paced and allowed delegates space to network and share insights. The combination of Paris as a location with the celebration of our host ANDRH’s 70th Anniversary made for a truly memorable event.
