The Board is the executive body of the EAPM which comprises of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and five additional members as elected by the Delegates Assembly, as well as the Head of Secretariat (in a non-voting role). Board Members are supported by the EAPM Secretariat who serve as the first contact for our Members and external partners.

Berna Öztınaz graduated from Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business and then completed Sabancı University’s Executive MBA programme. After a brief spell working for the tourism sector, she started her HR career at KORDSA A.Ş and eventually assigned to various projects in Egypt, Germany, Argentina, and Iran.
Then she had various senior HR and Strategic business support roles in the energy sector before taking on the role of CHRO at DeFacto, a large retail company operating in about a hundred countries.
Berna Öztınaz is currently the CHRO at a London-based company of Genel Energy Plc, one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies. With a vast experience in different sectors, she focuses on change management, talent management beyond borders, mergers, acquisitions, privatizations, corporate culture, industrial relations management, main brand management, corporate communications, and business excellence.
With her volunteer work, she served as President for PERYÖN (the biggest non-profit organisation in Human Resources in Turkey) for two terms. Berna has been a Board member of the EAPM since 2020, as well as on the WFPMA Board representing the EAPM since 2022 as the first female delegate from Europe.
Berna recognises that EAPM stands as a respectable source for information and where best practises are openly shared; it is important to strengthen this knowledge capital structure for a sustainable future for HR and the people profession.

David Ducheyne is founding president of hrpro.be, the Belgian Association of HR Professionals. He has a career of almost 30 years in HR and business. An organisational psychologist by training he believes that HR should focus on building capabilities that enable organisations, teams and individuals to execute their strategy. David has worked for Alcatel, Henkel, Case New Holland, and Securex. In 2018 he founded Otolith, a consultancy in Belgium. He is the author of Sustainable Leadership and co-authored two books about the customisation of work. He’s an avid blogger.

Martina Burulic-Pavlovic has a very varied professional career spanning more than 20 years, in which she has held senior management positions for over 10 years. This began with the completion of the commercial and economic vocational baccalaureate and led to postgraduate studies as an HR Expert and a Master’s degree in HR Management. She wrote her Master’s thesis on the current topic of mobile forms of work in the Federal Office of Communications at her current employer. She will continue to work on the topic in her doctoral thesis in the near future and deepen her work in it.
Before joining the Swiss Federal Administration, Martina held various roles in finance and HR in different national and international companies such as Feldschlösschen Brewery (member of Carlsberg Breweries Group) and Salt Mobile SA, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Switzerland. Her main areas of interest are leadership, new work and organizational energy.
Martina’s financial background coupled with her HR expertise allows her to actively contribute to the EAPM Board as Treasurer on strategic financial issues.

Elli Matsouka is an Organisational Culture Consultant, Corporate Wellbeing Expert and Executive Coach. During her 15 years of working experience, she has worked with a number of organisations in designing practices and running interventions that lead in the creation of the right organisational culture – the one that can support organisations to thrive and people to feel happy. She worked for Deloitte as a consultant and she has also led the EMEA HR & Development function for Amicorp Group, an international fiduciary provider. Her last job position before leaving her corporate career was with Εrnst & Young (Head of Consulting Unit, People Advisory Services). Elli is also a Board Member of the CyHRMA (the only non-profit association in Cyprus for the HR profession) since 2015.
Since she left her corporate career, she has dedicated her work in helping business executives achieve a healthy and holistic wellbeing while they retain their corporate demanding roles. Her work is also dedicated in helping organisations become a place where people will enjoy being and where their professional and personal needs will be fulfilled.
She sees EAPM as a strong voice for (re)connecting the HR professionals across Europe to the profession’s purpose and values, as well as setting the scene for the future needs and priorities. EAPM has also a leading role in facilitating the exchange of knowledge and information amongst its members and in empowering the HR professionals for creating successful workplaces with happy employees.

Raffaele Credidio is keen to support the EAPM in its continuous mission of improving the
quality of HR practice and to support people development across Europe. His goal for the future of the EAPM is to be closer and closer to its members being capable to offer and deliver simple initiatives, quick services, easy tools that can enforce the overall sense of
belonging for any national HR association to be part of our reality.
Raffaele is a previous EAPM board member as well as National Vice-President of AIDP, Italy. Raffaele is also EMEA Regional Director – People Organization team at Micron Technology.
With over 20 years of experience working in HR for multi-national companies, Raffaele is a strong advocate for People Management. He believes that the role of HR is fundamental for leading through the changes we are experiencing today, but more importantly, the changes that are in front of us.

Now it’s time for all People Professions to stand for the better World.
Solveiga Grudiene is a member of the EAPM Board. She is a long term (since 2009) Board member of Lithuanian HR Association PVPA, Associate professor of partnership of Vilnius University, experienced Management and Educational Leadership consultant (actively working in private and public sectors for more than 25 years).
Solveiga truly believe that most of things people can create by co-creation. All the challenges can be embraced and solved in connection with others – people, countries, organisations. Joined energy, ideas and experiences always give synergy and possibility to find new creative solutions. This her attitude is actively employed for the sake of EAPM:
- Solveiga actively voted for the idea of Lithuanian HR community to start International Human Resources Day (IHRD). Since 1st time in the history on 20th of May, 2018, now – it is annual event, accepted by WFPMA.
- She is a Member of EAPM International Relations Committee.
- Together with Lithuanian HR hosted The 30th EAPM Congress ACCELERATING GROWTH IN A TURBULENT WORLD (Vilnius, October 2021).
These steps were done in EAPM before becoming a Board member. This mandate empowers to develop further ideas and initiatives for all EAPM community. Solveiga has a vision for the EAPM future: to build strong, united, and connected community of all in People Profession in Europe.

Darko Petrovski is one of the founders and President of the Macedonian HR Association since 2019. He served there since its foundation in 2009 as a Management Board member, Deputy President, President of the Supervisory Board and as a Secretary General. He managed to lead the Association through the Covid-19 crisis and to rase its reputation in the country and position it as one of the most active and leading national associations in the region of South and South-East Europe.
Darko is a former longtime head of HR and also an entrepreneur and founder of the Company for Education, Training and Consulting Talent Business Incubator StepUp as well as founding member in two other consulting companies. He gets engaged as an international speaker, guest lecturer, executive management consultant, trainer, mentor and coach.
Darko’s focus is to raise the potential and the competencies of the HR professionals for taking the leading role in the transformation of the organizations and workplaces towards the new business, economical and societal paradigms. He believes in the HR people to be among the ones with the awareness for becoming the driving force for changes in the world and works on their empowerment to take greater responsibility in our society.
He initiated the regional cooperation in South and South-East Europe and fosters establishing of networks within EAPM for sharing knowledge, practices and experiences and mutual projects among the national associations and the HR professionals across Europe.
Leading the Events Working Group at the EAPM, Darko strives to implement new modalities of cooperation through specific events for the National Associations and their members which would support the spirit of togetherness within EAPM.

Ulrik S. Brix CEO of NOCA, the Danish HR Association, contributes over 20 years of experience within the HR profession. Holding a Master’s in HRM and an industrial Ph.D. in Organizational Analysis from Copenhagen Business School, Ulrik brings a wealth of academic knowledge and practical expertise to the EAPM Board
Ulrik’s motivation to contribute to the EAPM is rooted in a basic desire and curiosity to address the significant challenges faced by both the association and all national HR associations. A fundamental aspect of this challenge lies in the digitalization and globalization of the HR community, affecting HR professionals and all member organizations. This, combined with the growing emphasis on continuous competence development and lifelong learning, fundamentally changes the operational context of the EAPM.
As a Board Member, Ulrik envisions building robust European partnerships, fostering cooperation, and generating mutual gains for all members. His proposed strategic priorities include placing members at the core of decision-making, ensuring efficient resource distribution, expanding resources and members, and cultivating a culture of sharing and learning.

Marita Salo had several positions at the EAPM in recent years: Vice President, member of the Governance Working Group and Chair of Membership Fee Working Group. As the auditor of EAPM, Marita wishes to bring her knowledge and experience to the benefit of the EAPM.
She is Executive Director of The Finnish Association for Human Resources Management – HENRY. In her role as Vice President and Chair of the Membership Committee she built upon the achievements of previous EAPM boards and further strengthen the development of EAPM as a unique arena for national people management associations and support EAPM´s potential to become a European voice in the global dialogue.
The national associations of EAPM have an unrivalled position to drive positive change in the working life by facilitating contacts and partnerships as well as sharing information, knowledge and experiences across Europe.
