In the beginning of September EAPM working group visited  Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia . The goal of the meeting was also to see on the spot the environment of Slovenian HR association and to know more about the activities and plans of  this small and successful HR association.

SHRA  presented  the most important achievements in 2014 :

  • National HR congress, organised from 2011 together with a partner PlanetGV, approximately 200 participants
  • Start of HR juniors section in 2014
  • Slovenian HR standards in 2014, implementation is in progress
  • Stable financing
  • Increase of membership

Plan till the end of 2015 :

  • Acquire more supporters/steakholders for HR standards implementation
  • Starting more sections to cover specific HR fileds of interests
  • HR acadamy for HR juniors
  • Study conference on Engagement with PR association of Slovenia
  • SHRA Website renewal
  • Working with HR clubs to support their activities on the field

We had a very dynamic discussion, ended with some proposals to Slovenian mngt. team:

  • to implement HR standards step by step,
  • to organize an event for students on faculty with HRM programmes  and present them  HR topics from different European countries and the role of HR associations in those countries. Such approach can raise the interests of young people to be part of such professional organisation as HR association is.

Working group also visited the SHRA office. Office is small but  large enough to support all actions from this place.

Vanda Pečjak, member of SHRA mngt. board
