On 23 February 2024, the EAPM Board had its first hybrid meeting of the year in Malta. It was the first opportunity for our newest Board Member (and previous Auditor), Ulrik Brix to meet with us in-person since the Annual Meeting of the Delegates Assembly in October 2023. It was also our first face-to-face meeting with Berna Oztinaz as President and David Ducheyne as Vice-President.

As with many other multi-national Associations, we have learned that some agenda items are more productive in-person. The EAPM Board took full advantage of the collaboration opportunities by focusing much of the meeting on re-aligning its strategy, vision and values as well as strengthening ways of working and maintaining psychological safety within the Board. The EAPM Board also heard presentations from some of our working groups, which not only offered an update, but also an opportunity to make some important decisions on direction.

We were delighted last year when FHRD Malta decided to return to EAPM Membership, and it was important for us to meet with CEO Karen Muscat Baldacchino to stregthen our working relationships. As Karen is leading on the new EAPM Affiliate Membership working group, we organised a kick-off planning workshop at the FHRD head office in Sliema. EAPM working groups are increasingly more important to us as the main drivers of our strategic objectives.
